Privacy Policy
AptInnova respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It covers this website only. Information you give us during a project engagement is governed by the agreement we sign with you.
Who we are
AptInnova operates from the Netherlands and India. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), AptInnova is the data controller for information submitted through this website.
If you have a question about this policy or about your data, write to hello@aptinnova.com and we will answer.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us. If you submit the contact form, we receive:
- your name
- your email address
- your company name, if you provide it
- the subject area and budget range you select, if you provide them
- the content of your message
Our server also records the IP address the submission came from, and the time it was received. This is used to limit automated spam and for nothing else.
If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence in our mailbox in the ordinary way.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. There is nothing to opt out of, and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
The site stores one small preference in your browser: whether you chose light or dark appearance. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is not used to identify you. Your language choice is carried in the web address, not stored. You can clear the preference at any time through your browser settings.
If we add analytics in future, this section will be updated before the change goes live, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of the conversation. Under the GDPR our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted us about our services and expect a reply. Where we later enter an agreement, the basis becomes performance of that contract.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not use automated decision-making on it.
We will not add you to a mailing list on the strength of an enquiry.
Who else sees it
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- our website host, which operates the server this site and the contact form run on
- our email provider, which delivers and stores the enquiry
Both are bound by data processing terms. We do not transfer your data to anyone else unless the law requires it.
International transfers
We operate from the Netherlands and India. Personal data submitted through this site may therefore be accessed by colleagues in India in the course of answering your enquiry.
Where data moves outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the technical and organisational measures described below.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months.
Where an enquiry leads to a project, the correspondence is retained for the life of the engagement and for as long afterwards as tax and contractual record-keeping requires.
Spam-prevention logs are kept for no more than 30 days.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to answer you. Accounts are protected with strong authentication.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurred that posed a risk to your rights, we would notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and tell you directly where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent, where we relied on consent
Write to hello@aptinnova.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national supervisory authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Links to other sites
This site links to sites we do not operate, including our product sites and AI for ALL Global. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date below. Material changes will be summarised here so you can see what moved.
